The first stage of the Black Sea Shells mussel farm was completed through the SAPARD program. The investements for the first stage amount to over 1 million euro. Apart from applying for the pre-accession stuctural funds of the European Union, the company plans on applying for post-accession grants by the EU in the field of aquaculture and biological production and biodiversity.

Black Sea Shells Ltd. has an expansion plan to expand its production capacities and market share to over 3500 tons annually as well as to build preliminary processing facilities for fish and other aquaproducts.
